ASSISTANT SWIMMING DEVELOPMENT OFFICER, BRAMCOTE LEISURE CENTRE

37 hours per week

Salary: £19,238 – £20,503                 

If you have a track record of delivery high quality Aquatics instruction at A.S.A. Level 2 (Teaching Aquatics) and are passionate about the development of Aquatics and delivering high quality swimming lesson provision to a wide ranging customer base and are looking for the next challenging step in your career then we are looking for you.

Based at Bramcote Leisure Centre the post holder will provide support, in all aspects of Aquatics provision, to the Swimming Development officer who manages and operates the largest independent Swimming school within the East Midlands region providing swimming lessons to over 2000 pupils on a weekly basis.

The key aims of the post will be to:

  • Provide high quality swimming instruction within the swimming school.
  • Develop quality teaching by undertaking assessments and providing training and mentoring support to the team of swimming instructors.
  • Provide support for the day to day operation/management of the swim school.
  • Supporting the on-going quality development of the swimming school and general Aquatics program.

It is essential that you have excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic personality to drive forwards a program of improvements to ensure the Liberty Leisure’s Swimming School and associated Aquatics activities maintain a market leading position in the region.

Applicants will be expected to have GCSE Maths; English at a minimum level Grade C, A.S.A. level 2 teaching Aquatics and have the ability to demonstrate good communication skills. Candidates with valid NPLQ or TA will be at a distinct advantage.

Successful candidates will be required to complete a successful DBS clearance process.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the membership services team as a full time Membership Advisor. The Membership Advisor will contribute to the commercial success of Liberty Leisure through the sales of membership packages. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and approachable people person with drive and enthusiasm to meet and exceeded in terms of both customer service and membership targets.

Based at Bramcote Leisure Centre, if you know how to make every customer feel like they are special and are excited about sales, inspiring and supporting people to get more active and improve their health then we want to hear from you.

RELIEF HERITAGE ASSISTANT

D.H. LAWRENCE BIRTHPLACE MUSEUM – Salary : £8.28 per hour

We are looking for an enthusiastic Relief Heritage Assistant to work at the D. H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire. If you are a friendly and outgoing person who can demonstrate a positive attitude towards customer service, are committed to achieving high standards and looking for your first step into the heritage sector, you would be perfect for this role.

Relief staff are expected to cover staff holidays and sickness periods as well as providing additional support during peak times, such as group and school tours and on or off site events.

Duties will include working front of house booking in tours on our computerised booking system and taking payments, both in person and over the phone, giving guided tours around the Birthplace Museum, including specialist school and group tours, and general reception and gift shop duties along with cash handling.

Successful candidates should have good customer service skills and the ability to interact well with customers of all ages. An interest in D.H. Lawrence and local social history as well as competent I.C.T skills would be an advantage.

The hours of work will typically be 9.45am – 4.15pm on a variety of shifts, dependent on service needs, covering Tuesday to Saturday. Due to the nature of this position the successful candidate will need to be flexible, as they may also be required to work outside these hours for special events, school visits and evening tours.

TRAMPOLINE COACH/GYMNASTICS COACH/FOOTBALL COACHSalary : £12.46 – £13.27 ph

Chilwell Olympia and Kimberley Leisure Centre are both looking to appoint enthusiastic, motivated and committed coaches for their children’s coaching programme.

Trampoline / Gymnastics

As well as holding, or working towards, a British Gymnastics qualification in either Gymnastics or Trampolining, you should be able to work alongside our existing coaches using your own initiative, and be able to work effectively with others in the team.

We are ideally looking for coaches with a Level 2 qualification or above, however we will consider applicants with a Level 1 qualification who are interested in gaining the Level 2 award.

Hours of work for these recreational classes are spread across most evenings between the two sites.  Please contact either Chilwell Olympia or Kimberley Leisure Centre for an informal chat regarding your qualification and the hours that you would be required to work.

If you have some knowledge, experience and a passion for Gymnastics or Trampolining and the ability to inspire children we do have funding available to pay for Level 1 and Level 2 courses.

Football

We are seeking somebody with a Level 1 or 2 football coaching qualification who has the ability to engage with children and provide a fun and exciting environment.

Duties will include planning and delivering safe, enjoyable and progressive football coaching sessions to children aged between 5 to 11 years at Kimberley Leisure Centre. It is desirable that applicants have experience of sports coaching and working with children. Hours of work are Wednesday evenings, 5-6pm.
