Swim, Bike, Run! Try something new this summer! An event for adults and juniors at Kimberley Leisure Centre.
A fun introduction to triathlon for both adults and juniors. The event is a beginners event that can be enjoyed by friends, families and work colleagues. Are you up for the challenge?
The event involves a swim, a bike ride and a run.
The distances are suitable for people who have never tried an event before, as well as for those who are looking for an additional challenge to take part in. The event will be chip timed.

Kimberley Leisure Centre, Newdigate Street, Kimberley, Nottingham, NG16 2NJ.
Races start from 07:00.
Adult races start from 07:00.
Junior races start from 11:30.
Beginners Event: £18.00 per competitor + £5.00 BTF Insurance.
Sprint Event: £22.00 per competitor + £5.00 BTF Insurance.
Please note; Competitors are required to hold individual British Triathlon Federation (BTF) Insurance for this event. Competitors must show their individual BTF membership/license card at registration, or purchase an individual BTF day license when entering the event via the online entry form. Competitors who do not select ‘governing body member’ and/or insert their BTF membership/license number will automatically be assigned and charged for a BTF day license. This BTF day license will cost an additional £5 per adult.
Aged 15 years or above on the day of the event.
Junior Event: £12.00 per competitor + £1.00 BTF Insurance.

What does the Event Involve?
The Triathlon involves 3 disciplines. Each person must complete each discipline. There is no rest period in between each stage.
The disciplines for the Beginners Event are:
- 200 metre Pool Swim (10 Lengths)
- 7K Bike Ride
- 2.5K Run
The disciplines for the Sprint Event are:
- 400 metre Pool Swim (20 Lengths)
- 19K Bike Ride
- 5K Run
The disciplines for the Junior Taster Event are:
- 80 metre Pool Swim (4 Lengths)
- 2K Bike Ride
- 200 metre Run
The adult event starts with a swim in the pool at Kimberley Leisure Centre, followed by a bike ride on the surrounding roads in Watnall, Moorgreen and Underwood. The event finishes with a run on pavements and grass areas surrounding the leisure centre.
The junior event follows a similar format but takes place within the grounds of the leisure centre. The bike ride and the run will both take place on the leisure centre’s field and will not enter the public highway.
What will you need?
For the event you will need:
Swim: Swim Wear. Swimming goggles are recommended but are not essential. Competitors will be issued with a swimming cap on the day that must be worn.
Bike: Suitable clothing for cycling, a roadworthy bike and a helmet. Cycling shoes and gloves are optional but not essential.
Run: Suitable clothing for running and running shoes/trainers.
Triathlon suits are not essential but they can make transitions easier and smoother. You may also wish to bring a towel, sunglasses and energy bars/drinks. These items are also not essential but they can help on the day.

Event Results: STU WEB will be providing results on the day of the event. All competitors will have the opportunity to check their times instantly on the screen in the van at the finish. Times can be viewed after the event online here.
